PHOENIX

Standing over 2 meters tall, “Phoenix” is a majestic wooden sculpture carved from aged oak wood. This free-standing piece embodies the ancient motif of regeneration, symbolizing the legendary Phoenix rising from its ashes. The sculpture is closely tied to Hribar’s personal journey, representing his philosophy that progress signifies growth while stagnation equates to death. For Hribar, this sculpture marks the third significant transformation in his creative career. His first sculpture conveys a powerful message of resilience and the unyielding spirit of renewal, reflecting the artist’s own experiences of continuously reinventing himself.

BOUQUET

is a small-sized installation that presents a thoughtful meditation on the dynamics of society. The piece consists of two vases filled with abstract flowers, each blossom crafted from different types of wood. The careful arrangement of these flowers reflects the delicate balance necessary for societal harmony. When each flower remains in its designated place, the composition is beautiful and cohesive, much like a well-functioning society where everyone plays their part. “Bouquet” emphasizes that true beauty and success in society can only be achieved through cooperation and mutual support.

FOREST

is an art installation that transcends the boundaries between human-made structures and the natural world. The piece is anchored by a bent iron net, typically used in concrete construction, which serves as the base for seven abstractly carved trees made from oak and walnut wood. The iron net symbolizes the interconnection of nature and the foarces that bind it together, while the trees represent nature’s resilience in reclaiming space within human-made environments. “Forest” serves as both a tribute to the resilience of nature and a call to action for environmental protection. The installation’s composition invites viewers to contemplate the impact of human actions on the environment and challenges them to reconsider their relationship with the natural world.
